The funded initiative aimed at the construction of a Charme RTA with five residential units of various surfaces (between 50 and 75 square meters).
The resources disbursed under the OP FESR Sicily 2014/2020 were used for the construction of masonry works aimed at the renovation and modernization of the property and the purchase of furniture for the five residential units and the outdoor areas for common use. Everything is made in a modern key with the use of typical local materials and with an important intervention aimed at saving energy and water. The internal and external flooring is made of natural stone from Modica, while the cladding of the Bathrooms in stone from Comiso intersected with precious ancient ceramic tiles. The effect obtained has a strong Mediterranean imprint, even more highlighted by a refined furniture with the emphasis of natural wood, linen and cordage. To increase comfort, the perimeter walls have been made with an innovative internal insulation system and moreover, the internal partition walls, such as the floors, are perfectly insulated from a thermal and acoustic point of view. priority was given to maintaining the existing olive trees by enriching the green areas with typical and local plants. The result is a building with a modern style , but perfectly integrated into the typical Taorminese context.
